Length and timing of wine tasting
Approximately 1.30 to 2 hours, during the day or evening. Timing can however, be adjusted to suit your event.
Delivery and Collection
We generally deliver the wines the day before the event. Collection of glasses and spittoons is then arranged as soon after the event as possible.
Tasting measures
Our costings are based on a generous measure of 10-12 tastings per bottle.
Prizes
Our Quick Quote includes a Magnum of Veuve Clicquot Champagne for the winning team. We can also arrange alternative prizes at an additional cost.
Reception Drinks
If you would like reception drinks we are happy to supply them at normal retail prices.
Catering
Catering can be
provided on request. We are also very happy to advise your own caterers on food and wine matching.
Venue
We will come to a venue of your choice – your own home, office, favourite
restaurant, a boat... Please note that for venues outside London (City and
West End), Kent and East Sussex, there will be additional travel expenses.

Free Glass and Spittoon Hire
Either the venue or Sniff and Spit can provide the glasses and spittoons. If supplied by Sniff and Spit a deposit will be required, which is reimbursed on their return. Sniff and Spit provides professional ISO tasting glasses.
Tasting Schedule
Once we have finalised your booking, Sniff and Spit will send you a schedule for the event, so that you are clear how things will run on the night.

Payment
Once you have booked your tasting, we will invoice you. Advance bookings
will require a deposit of 50% of the total fee. The remainder must be paid
by BACS or cheque at least 10 working days prior to the event. Bookings
at short notice should be paid in full 10 working days prior to the event.
Decrease in number of guests
If there is a decrease in the number of guests, and you do not notify us until within the 10 working days prior to the event, there will be no refund of the original amount.
Cancellation fee
If you cancel 5 working days prior to the booking a small cancellation fee
of £150 will be made. Cancellations must be made in writing. If you cancel
after this period we unfortunately will have to retain 50% of the fee. For
postponed events no cancellation fee will be made.
