Your Event Explained

If supplied by Sniff and Spit a deposit may be required, which is reimbursed on their return. If the Client breaks, loses, or damages equipment belonging to Sniff and Spit during the Event, they will be charged at full replacement value.

venue and catering

Whilst Sniff and Spit may make venue and catering recommendations, all venue and catering costs must be borne by the Client. Furthermore, the terms of trade are between The Client and the provider of the Venue and or Catering.

delivery and collection

When a carrier is used we ask for all goods to be signed for. Once delivered and signed for the wines and glasses are then the responsibility of the receiving client. Should there be any breakages or items missing on delivery please write the details on the carrier’s note and notify Sniff and Spit on the day of delivery.

payment

Unless otherwise agreed, advance bookings will require a deposit of 50% of the total fee. The remainder must be paid by BACS or cheque at least 10 working days prior to the event, unless otherwise agreed between Sniff and Spit and the Client. Cheques should be made payable to Sniff and Spit and sent to 132 Milward Road, Hastings, East Sussex, TN34 3RT. Unless otherwise agreed, bookings at short notice should be paid in full 10 working days prior to the event.

decrease in number of guests

If there is a decrease in the number of guests, please let us know as soon as possible so that a new fee can be agreed upon. Please note that generally, the cost per head for a smaller group goes up. It is important to notify us 10 working days prior to the event, otherwise there will be no refund of the original amount.

wines and whiskies

Wines and Whiskies itemised in our proposals may on occasions be substituted due to stock availability. Should a wine unattainable we will contact you to suggest an alternative of equal value.

cancellation fee

If you cancel 15 working days prior to the booking a cancellation fee of £250 will be made. Cancellations must be made in writing. If you cancel after this period we will retain 50% of the fee.

overdue accounts

Sniff and Spit reserves the right to charge interest at 2% above HSBC Bank PLC’s base rate of interest on any sums which remain overdue.

our liability

Sniff and Spit accepts liability for death or injury only if it is caused by our negligence. Sniff and Spit accepts liability for any damage or loss to your physical property only if it is caused by our negligence.  No liability is accepted for failure of performance due to strike, lockout, hostilities or any other circumstances outside the Company’s control.

legal restrictions

The Client shall ensure that all Event guests are over 18 years of age in line with legal requirements.

data protection act 1985

To comply with this act we are obliged to inform you that we have recorded your name and address for sole use of Sniff and Spit.

When you book an event with Sniff and Spit, you agree to be bound by our terms and conditions.
