Rebecca Dunphy
Director Rebecca Dunphy started out as a translator for the EU in Italy where she was bitten by the wine bug. She has a Masters from Australia’s top wine making and marketing college Roseworthy, as well as professional sommelier qualifications from Italy and the WSET Diploma from the UK.
She has written for The Masters of Wine Journal and The Australian and New Zealand Industry Journal and as a researcher and curator, helped create Vinopolis – City of Wine.
Rebecca then went on to run wine events and tastings for the highly-regarded Balls Brothers of London.
As well as running events for ‘Sniff and Spit’ Rebecca has held tastings for ‘Wines of Spain’ and ‘The Port Wine Institute’.
Rebecca has the knack of putting on stylish events that are informative, fun and professional – the perfect blend.
Rebecca’s love of wine has naturally led to a fascination for whisky. She has developed her Whisky nose by travelling the whisky distilleries of Ireland and Scotland, which has inspired ‘Sniff and Spit’s’ novel approach to tasting Whisky in a comparative context.
Roger Mallindine
‘Sniff and Spit’’s main Whisky host is Whisky Ambassador and “Keeper of the Quaich” Roger Mallindine, who apart from being a charmer has over 40 years experience in the Scotch Whisky Industry.
He has hosted Whisky events all over the world including tastings for HRH the Prince of Wales and The King of Ghana.
In 1998 he was awarded the Freedom of the City of London and in 2006 he was given the Freedom of Glasgow for his contribution to the Scotch Whisky industry.
