Port and Stilton

Port with Stilton but why not break with tradition?

Port and Stilton are wonderful together but if you want an equally good partner with just as much flavour without bumping up your units try Hungarian Tokaji at just 11%. This is a magical cheese and wine pairing.

The wine is amber gold, smells like dried apricots, marmalade and honey – it is so fresh and flaoursome that not even Stilton can overpower it. The wine is sweetened with sticky botrytised grapes otherwise known as noble rot and you might even pick up a slight nutty sherry notes too. Enjoy the honeyed sweetness with the salty tang of the blue cheese – here opposites certainly do attract.

Enjoy your wine with cheese!
